Main key points of budget2019

Today the Modi government presented the interim budget for the year 2019. The budget was presented by the Piyush Goyal who is the railway minister but has been given additional charge of Finance Ministry. Here are the few key features of today’s interim budget of Modi govt.
Ø  Income tax exemption limit has been raised to
Rs. 5,00,000.
Ø  Small and marginal farmers will get assured income of Rs. 6,000 per year.
Ø  Government is looking forward to allocate Rs. 60,000 crores for a MNREGA scheme.
Ø  Government increases budget for defence to over Rs. 3 lakhs crore.
Ø  Benefits has been provided to the affordable house buyers.
Ø  No TDS on interest gained from bank deposits till Rs. 40,000 which was earlier Rs. 10,000.
Ø  The tax free gratuity is increased to Rs. 30 lakhs from Rs. 10 lakhs
Ø  2% interest relief for the MSME GST registered persons
Ø  Rs. 3000 per year pension for the worker of unorganized sectors.
Ø  TDS threshold on the rental income has been increased to Rs. 2,40,000 from Rs. 1,80,000.
Ø  Standard deductions has been increased to Rs. 50,000 from Rs. 40,000.
